Long Hit on the Pause Button Necessitating Rebooting

OK where was I . Oh yeah, the first week of January before I even got to Australia! Well you may ask what was going on. I have been trying, and I know you will be surprised that I have been unsuccessful, to post a picture to this blog. And I have reluctantly come to the conclusion that I cannot do it. Maybe someday I will figure it out but if I wait to go on until I do I will be back in Ithaca and you, dear readers would miss out on these pearls. I can’t risk that. So I have decided to write the blog and when I get to a place where I have a picture I will write (PIX) and you all will be alerted to come back periodically and see if I have figured it      Aout.

In Aussieland if you are trying something new you “give it a go” hence the post title.

So, here we go. I am creating this blog for my daughters and a few related and/or close buds to give you a sense of our life in Australia January-June 2012. Rich can follow too if he likes. He can check my spelling!

We began the long trek from Ithaca to Melbourne by way of Chicago where Rich attended the annual American Economic Association meetings and I went sight seeing with my long time friend Kathy Blomquist.
